Mar 10,  · Broadcast return with their long-awaited third album on Warp Records, over three years since their last LP. The songs here bear their typically retro style, sounding like they could've been written in the sixties and yet they don't sound dated/5().

Broadcast are nominally a rock band, but they layer their guitars and drums with buzzing synthesizers, suggesting a devotion to Kraftwerk and an obsession with sonic texture that belies their songs' magnetic melodies. On their second album, Haha Sound-- a denser, more intricate follow-up to their stunning debut, The Noise Made by People-- the Birmingham, England–based group thrive on the Price: $

This is my 3rd favorite album by Broadcast. "Noises made by people " is #1, with " The Future Crayon" being #2. "Ha ha Sound" is #3 and is still a very good album, just a little more pop or commercial in my opinion. I have Broadcasts other albums, but I did not have this one. It didn't disappoint. This is another very good album by this band/5(36).

Valerie This song is by Broadcast and appears on the album Haha Sound (). Inside the mask another disguise I fall to sleep before closing my eyes Tiredness draws, in my head a cartoon Sun at the window, good things coming soon Shake your earrings over my head Lay down your dreams on my pillow before bed The silence of ice at the borders of day Sun in my face will not keep them away Sinking.

On their early singles and brilliant debut album, The Noise Made by People, Broadcast's commitment to crafting meticulously, ethereally beautiful atmospheres gave their music a detached quality that made them somewhat difficult to embrace fully. This isn't the case on Haha Sound, the band's second album. While their music still sounds like it could've been crafted by ghosts in the machine, now.
