of London" solidify this record. This album and the next, "English Settlement", could well have been a double album because of their somewhat similar styles. These would be the last albums released while they were still a touring band. If you had to pick a few albums from XTC to listen to, Black Sea /5().

XTC‘s album Black Sea is being reissued as an audiophile g vinyl pressing in September. Black Sea is considered by some as one of the best engineered and produced albums of the era, and this vinyl edition (released by Andy Partridge’s APE label) has been newly cut at Loud Mastering by Jason Mitchell and pressed on gram vinyl. Steve Lillywhite was the original producer, with Hugh.

The first side in general is pretty great, with some poppy XTC classics, like Respectable Street, Generals and Majors, Living Through Another Cuba (the best song on the first side, honestly. Distinctly XTC, with unique lyrics, frantic delivery, all set to some really cool Latin percussion), and Love at First Sight.
