The same year, Etheridge released his first solo album, Ash, mostly featuring his regular band at the time - Steve Franklin on keyboards, Henry Thomas on bass and Mark Fletcher on drums - as well as duets with bassist Dudley Phillips.
  6. Medal says:
Apart from the covers of "Kings And Queens" ("Fourth") and John ETHERIDGE's "Ash", all the others tracks were especially composed for the occasion. Add to this that it's a limited edition CD, released as a joint-venture by the Musea and Moonjune labels, and you'll easily understand that this event goes well beyond the Canterbury School lovers.5/5(2).

John Etheridge - An Appreciation by Bill Starling. John Etheridge is not just another great guitarist, he is a master of the instrument and he knows how to use it to best effect in an enormous range of settings. He is fast, a great chord man, inventive but subtle, as good with a pick as finger style, as at home on acoustic as on electric guitar.
